Heinrich Strecker was a German composer and pianist who lived from 1861 to 1945. He was born in the town of Wiesbaden, Germany, and showed an early interest in music. His parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. Strecker began his musical education at the age of six, studying piano with his mother. He showed great promise as a pianist and composer, and by the age of ten, he was already performing in public. He continued his studies at the Hoch Conservatory in Frankfurt, where he studied piano with Clara Schumann and composition with Engelbert Humperdinck. After completing his studies, Strecker began a successful career as a concert pianist, performing throughout Europe and the United States.
