Tara Simoncic is a classical music artist who has made a name for herself in the world of music. Born on May 12, 1992, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Tara showed an early interest in music. Her parents, who were both music lovers, encouraged her to pursue her passion for music. At the age of five, Tara started taking piano lessons, and by the time she was eight, she had already started performing in public. Tara's talent was evident from an early age, and she quickly became known for her exceptional musical abilities. She continued to study music throughout her childhood and teenage years, and in 2010, she graduated from the Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts School, where she had studied classical piano. After graduating from high school, Tara went on to study music at the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music. There, she studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist Awadagin Pratt. During her time at the conservatory, Tara honed her skills and developed her own unique style of playing. In 2014, Tara graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance. She then went on to pursue a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance at the University of Michigan's School of Music, Theatre & Dance. While at the University of Michigan, Tara studied under the guidance of renowned pianist Logan Skelton. Throughout her academic career, Tara has received numerous awards and accolades for her musical abilities. In 2012, she was awarded the prestigious Presser Foundation Scholarship, which is given to outstanding music students who show exceptional promise in their field. In 2014, she was awarded the CCM Piano Concerto Competition, which allowed her to perform as a soloist with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Tara has also performed in numerous concerts and recitals throughout her career. In 2013, she performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., as part of the Kennedy Center's Conservatory Project. She has also performed at the Ravinia Festival in Chicago, the Chautauqua Institution in New York, and the Gilmore Keyboard Festival in Michigan. In addition to her solo performances, Tara has also collaborated with other musicians and ensembles. In 2015, she performed with the University of Michigan Symphony Orchestra, playing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3. She has also collaborated with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, and the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra. Tara's musical abilities have been praised by critics and audiences alike. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has described her playing as "exquisite," while the Cincinnati Enquirer has called her "a pianist of great sensitivity and intelligence." Her performances have been described as "captivating" and "mesmerizing." In addition to her musical career, Tara is also passionate about teaching. She has taught piano to students of all ages and levels, and has served as a teaching assistant at both the University of Cincinnati and the University of Michigan. She is currently a faculty member at the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan. Tara's musical journey has been one of hard work, dedication, and passion.
