From a young age, Grew showed a keen interest in music, and his parents encouraged him to pursue his passion. He started playing the piano at the age of six and quickly developed a natural talent for the instrument. Grew's parents recognized his potential and enrolled him in the Royal Academy of Music in London when he was just ten years old. He studied under some of the most prominent music teachers of the time, including Sir Adrian Boult and Sir Malcolm Sargent. Grew's talent and dedication to music were evident from an early age, and he quickly became one of the most promising young musicians in the country. In 1968, Grew graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with a degree in piano performance. He then went on to study at the Juilliard School in New York, where he honed his skills under the tutelage of some of the most renowned music teachers in the world. During his time at Juilliard, Grew won several awards and accolades for his outstanding performances. After completing his studies, Grew embarked on a successful career as a concert pianist. Grew's performances were always highly anticipated, and he never failed to impress audiences with his technical skill and musicality. One of the highlights of Grew's career was his performance at the Proms in 1975.
