From a young age, Ingles showed a natural talent for music, and he began playing the cello at the age of six. Ingles received his early musical education at the Juilliard School's Pre-College Division, where he studied with renowned cellist David Soyer. He went on to attend the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where he studied with Peter Wiley and Carter Brey. Ingles quickly established himself as a rising star in the classical music world, winning numerous awards and competitions. One of Ingles' most memorable performances was his debut with the New York Philharmonic in 2010, where he performed the Elgar Cello Concerto under the baton of Alan Gilbert. The performance was hailed by critics as "spellbinding" and "transcendent," and it cemented Ingles' reputation as one of the most exciting young cellists of his generation. In addition to his work as a soloist, Ingles is also an avid chamber musician. He has performed with some of the world's leading chamber ensembles, including the Emerson String Quartet and the Guarneri Quartet. Ingles is known for his passionate and deeply expressive playing, as well as his commitment to exploring new and challenging repertoire.
