Diane Dufresne is a Canadian singer and actress who has been a prominent figure in the Quebec music scene for over five decades. She was born on September 30, 1944, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Her parents were both musicians, and she grew up in a musical household. Dufresne began singing at a young age and was trained in classical music. Dufresne's career began in the 1960s when she joined the Montreal group Les Baronets. The group was popular in Quebec and had several hits, including "C'est Fou, Mais C'est Tout" and "Je Reviendrai". However, Dufresne left the group in 1967 to pursue a solo career. In 1972, Dufresne released her first solo album, "Tiens-Toi Bien...". The album was a success and established Dufresne as a solo artist.
