In 1968, Wesseling enrolled at the Amsterdam Conservatory, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and composer, Jan Wijn. Wijn recognized Wesseling's exceptional talent and worked closely with him to hone his skills. During his time at the conservatory, Wesseling also had the opportunity to perform in several concerts and competitions, where he won numerous awards and accolades. After completing his studies at the conservatory, Wesseling embarked on a successful career as a concert pianist. He performed extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States, captivating audiences with his virtuosity and musicality. Wesseling was known for his ability to bring out the nuances and subtleties of the music, and his performances were always deeply moving and inspiring. One of the highlights of Wesseling's career was his performance at the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam in 1982. The concert was a tribute to the legendary pianist, Vladimir Horowitz, and Wesseling was invited to perform alongside other renowned pianists such as Martha Argerich and Maurizio Pollini. Wesseling's performance was widely acclaimed, and he received a standing ovation from the audience. Wesseling also had a successful recording career, and he released several albums throughout his career.
