He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a professional pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Cecere showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Cecere's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue music seriously. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly progressed, winning his first competition at the age of six. Cecere's career as a professional pianist began to take off after he won the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2013. The competition, held every four years, is one of the most prestigious piano competitions in the world and attracts the best young pianists from around the globe. Cecere's performance of Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor wowed the judges and audience alike, earning him the top prize.
