He is known for his innovative use of the guitar, incorporating techniques such as tapping, harmonics, and percussive playing. His music is often described as cinematic, with a strong sense of narrative and emotion. One of Richter's most notable works is his concerto for guitar and orchestra, "The Road Home." The piece was commissioned by the Tucson Symphony Orchestra and premiered in 2010. It has since been performed by orchestras around the world, including the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine. Another notable work by Richter is his album "Unbridled," which features original compositions for solo guitar. The album was released in 2014 and received critical acclaim for its virtuosic playing and emotional depth. In addition to his work as a composer, Richter is also an accomplished performer and educator.
