Some of the highlights of their major performances include their appearance at the 2018 Georgia Music Educators Association In-Service Conference, where they performed a program of contemporary wind band music. The ensemble has also performed at the 2017 National Association for Music Education All-National Honor Ensembles, where they were one of only two university wind ensembles selected to perform. In addition to their major performances, the Georgia Southern University Symphonic Wind Ensemble has also won numerous awards and accolades over the years. In 2019, the ensemble was selected to perform at the College Band Directors National Association Southern Division Conference, where they received a standing ovation for their performance.
