David Gresham was born on May 15, 1985, in London, England. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Gresham showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Gresham's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking formal piano lessons at the age of six and quickly progressed, winning his first competition at the age of eight. Gresham continued to excel in his studies and was accepted into the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London at the age of 16. He has also collaborated with some of the most celebrated conductors in the world, including Sir Simon Rattle, Daniel Barenboim, and Riccardo Muti. In addition to his performances, Gresham has also recorded several albums, including a critically acclaimed recording of Beethoven's Piano Sonatas. He has received numerous awards and accolades throughout his career, including the prestigious Gramophone Award for Best Instrumental Recording in 2010. Despite his success, Gresham remains humble and dedicated to his craft. He continues to practice for several hours a day and is always looking for ways to improve his technique and interpretation of classical music.
