In 1985, Rise graduated from the Latvian Academy of Music with a degree in composition. He then went on to pursue a career as a composer, working with various orchestras and ensembles throughout Latvia and Europe. One of Rise's early works, "Latvian Suite," was premiered in 1986 by the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra. The piece was well-received and helped establish Rise as a rising star in the Latvian classical music scene. Throughout the 1990s, Rise continued to compose and perform, gaining recognition for his unique style and innovative approach to classical music. In 1995, he was awarded the Latvian Grand Music Award for his contributions to Latvian music. One of Rise's most notable works is his "Concerto for Violin and Orchestra," which was premiered in 2001 by the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra.
