Sabina Puértolas is a Spanish soprano who has made a name for herself in the world of classical music. Born on May 22, 1979, in Zaragoza, Spain, Puértolas grew up in a family of musicians. Her father was a conductor and her mother was a pianist, so it was only natural that she would develop a love for music at a young age. Puértolas began her musical training at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón in Zaragoza, where she studied piano and singing. She later went on to study at the Escuela Superior de Canto in Madrid, where she received her degree in singing. Puértolas made her professional debut in 2003, when she performed the role of Barbarina in Mozart's "Le nozze di Figaro" at the Teatro Real in Madrid. This performance marked the beginning of a successful career for Puértolas, who has since performed in some of the world's most prestigious opera houses. One of Puértolas' most notable performances was in the role of Zerlina in Mozart's "Don Giovanni" at the Royal Opera House in London in 2008.
