Aliona Kalechyts is a Ukrainian classical pianist who has gained international recognition for her virtuosic performances and musical interpretations. Born on May 5, 1991, in Lviv, Ukraine, Kalechyts showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. She quickly demonstrated a natural talent for the instrument and began studying with renowned piano teachers in Ukraine. Kalechyts' musical education continued at the Lviv National Music Academy, where she studied under the guidance of Professor Halyna Krukovska. During her time at the academy, Kalechyts won numerous awards and competitions, including the Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition in Uzhhorod, Ukraine, and the First Prize at the International Piano Competition in San Dona di Piave, Italy. During her time in Germany, Kalechyts won the First Prize at the International Piano Competition in Cagliari, Italy, and the Second Prize at the International Piano Competition in Valencia, Spain. Kalechyts' career as a professional pianist began to take off in 2014, when she won the First Prize at the International Piano Competition in Rome, Italy. This victory led to numerous performance opportunities throughout Europe, including concerts in Germany, Italy, Spain, and Ukraine. In 2016, Kalechyts made her debut at the prestigious Berlin Philharmonic Hall, where she performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra.
