Orchester Der Wiener Volksoper is a classical music ensemble based in Vienna, Austria. The ensemble was founded in 1898 as the orchestra of the Vienna Volksoper, a theater that specializes in operettas and musicals. The orchestra was initially composed of 40 musicians, but it has since grown to include over 100 members. Over the years, Orchester Der Wiener Volksoper has become known for its performances of operettas, musicals, and other light classical music. The ensemble has also collaborated with many famous singers and conductors, including Plácido Domingo, José Carreras, and Zubin Mehta.
