Rene's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and later studied at the Paris Conservatory. He was a gifted pianist and quickly gained recognition for his exceptional talent. In 1970, Rene made his debut performance at the Salle Pleyel in Paris. He received critical acclaim for his performance and was hailed as a rising star in the classical music world. Over the next few years, Rene performed extensively throughout Europe and the United States, establishing himself as one of the most talented pianists of his generation. The competition was one of the most prestigious in the world, and Rene was the first French pianist to be invited to participate.
