Ivan Trevino is a contemporary classical music composer and percussionist who has gained recognition for his unique style and innovative compositions. Born in 1983 in McAllen, Texas, Trevino grew up in a musical family and began playing percussion at a young age. He was inspired by his father, who was a drummer, and his mother, who was a pianist and singer. Trevino's passion for music led him to pursue a degree in percussion performance at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. While at Eastman, he studied with renowned percussionists Michael Burritt and John Beck, and also had the opportunity to perform with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.
