Jean-Marc Phillips-Varjabédian is a French violinist who was born in 1963. He began playing the violin at the age of six and went on to study at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. He has won many awards for his violin playing, including the First Prize at the International Violin Competition in Sion in 1982. He has also performed with many orchestras around the world, including the Orchestre de Paris and the London Symphony Orchestra. Raphaël Perraud is a French cellist who was born in 1974. He began playing the cello at the age of six and went on to study at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. He has won many awards for his cello playing, including the First Prize at the International Cello Competition in Markneukirchen in 1997. He has also performed with many orchestras around the world, including the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. The trio first came together in 2004 and quickly gained recognition for their unique sound and interpretation of classical music. They have performed in many prestigious venues around the world, including the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, the Wigmore Hall in London, and the Carnegie Hall in New York City.
