She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Chedel showed a natural talent for music and began playing the violin at the age of four. Chedel's parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. She began taking lessons with renowned violinists in France and quickly gained recognition for her exceptional skills. At the age of 12, Chedel won first prize in the prestigious Concours National des Jeunes Violonistes, a national competition for young violinists in France. Chedel continued to excel in her studies and went on to study at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, one of the most prestigious music schools in the world. There, she studied under the guidance of renowned violinists such as Jean-Jacques Kantorow and Olivier Charlier. During her time at the conservatory, Chedel participated in numerous competitions and won several awards. In 2004, she won first prize at the International Violin Competition in Sion, Switzerland, and in 2006, she won first prize at the International Violin Competition in Indianapolis, USA. Chedel's talent and hard work paid off, and she quickly gained recognition as one of the most promising young violinists of her generation. She began performing in major concert halls around the world, including the Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Salle Pleyel in Paris. Chedel's performances were praised for their technical brilliance and emotional depth. She was known for her ability to bring out the nuances and subtleties of the music, and her performances were often described as mesmerizing and unforgettable. In addition to her solo performances, Chedel also collaborated with other musicians and performed in chamber music ensembles. She was a member of the Trio Wanderer, a renowned piano trio that has won numerous awards and performed in major concert halls around the world. Chedel's career continued to flourish, and she received numerous awards and accolades for her performances. In 2010, she was awarded the Victoire de la Musique Classique, the most prestigious award for classical music in France. She was also awarded the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, a prestigious honor given by the French government to individuals who have made significant contributions to the arts. Despite her success, Chedel remained humble and dedicated to her craft. She continued to practice and perform tirelessly, always striving to improve and push the boundaries of her art. Tragically, Chedel's promising career was cut short when she was diagnosed with cancer in 2012. She fought bravely against the disease, but sadly passed away on January 15, 2013, at the age of 27. Chedel's legacy lives on through her recordings and performances, which continue to inspire and move audiences around the world.
