Norman Krieger is a renowned classical pianist who has captivated audiences around the world with his virtuosic performances and deep musicality. Born in Los Angeles, California in 1963, Krieger showed an early aptitude for music and began studying piano at the age of six. He quickly demonstrated a natural talent for the instrument, and by the time he was a teenager, he was already performing in public and winning competitions. Krieger's musical education was extensive and rigorous. He studied with some of the most respected teachers in the field, including Adele Marcus, a renowned pianist and pedagogue who had been a student of Artur Schnabel. Krieger also studied with the legendary pianist and conductor Daniel Barenboim, who recognized his talent and invited him to perform with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra when he was just 17 years old. Throughout his career, Krieger has performed with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Berlin Philharmonic. He has also collaborated with some of the most celebrated conductors of our time, including Zubin Mehta, Leonard Slatkin, and Christoph von Dohnányi. Krieger's repertoire is vast and varied, encompassing works by composers from Bach to Barber. He is particularly known for his interpretations of the music of Beethoven, and has recorded all of the composer's piano concertos with the London Symphony Orchestra. He has also recorded works by Brahms, Schumann, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff, among others. Krieger's performances have been praised for their technical brilliance, emotional depth, and musical intelligence. He is known for his ability to bring out the nuances and subtleties of a piece, and for his ability to connect with audiences on a deep level.
