Thomas Enhco is a French classical music artist who has made a name for himself as a pianist, violinist, and composer. Born on September 29, 1988, in Paris, France, Enhco was raised in a family of musicians. His father, Jean-Louis Enhco, is a jazz pianist, while his mother, Caroline Casadesus, is a classical pianist. His grandfather, Gisèle Casadesus, was a renowned French actress and pianist. Enhco began playing the piano at the age of three and the violin at the age of five. He was a prodigious talent and quickly gained recognition for his musical abilities. At the age of nine, he performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, where he was discovered by the legendary jazz pianist, Herbie Hancock. Hancock was impressed by Enhco's talent and invited him to perform with him at the Jazz à Vienne festival in France. Enhco continued to hone his skills as a musician and composer, studying at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. He also studied jazz at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Enhco's career as a classical music artist began to take off in the early 2000s. In 2003, he won the first prize at the International Piano Competition of the City of Paris. He also won the first prize at the International Violin Competition of Sion-Valais in Switzerland in 2005. Enhco has performed at some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including the Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Salle Pleyel in Paris. He has also performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, and the London Symphony Orchestra. In addition to his performances as a classical music artist, Enhco has also made a name for himself as a jazz musician. He has released several albums of jazz music, including "Fireflies" and "Feathers." His jazz music has been praised for its innovative blend of classical and jazz styles. Enhco's compositions have also gained recognition. In 2010, he was commissioned by the French Ministry of Culture to compose a piece for the 150th anniversary of the birth of composer Claude Debussy. The piece, titled "Debussy in Mind," was performed at the Salle Pleyel in Paris. Enhco has received numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. In 2013, he was awarded the Victoire de la Musique Classique, the most prestigious award for classical music in France. He was also awarded the Prix Django Reinhardt for Best French Jazz Musician in 2015. Enhco continues to perform and compose music, pushing the boundaries of classical and jazz music.
