Morris Palter is a renowned percussionist, composer, and educator who has made significant contributions to the world of classical music. Born in Los Angeles, California, in 1962, Palter grew up in a family of musicians and was exposed to music from a young age. His father was a jazz pianist, and his mother was a classical pianist, which gave him a unique perspective on music. Palter began his musical journey by playing the piano, but he soon discovered his passion for percussion. He started playing the drums in his school band and quickly became proficient in playing various percussion instruments. He went on to study percussion at the University of Southern California, where he earned his Bachelor of Music degree.
