Role:EnsembleDuo Links is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2015 by two talented musicians, pianist Yuka Nakayama and cellist Kana Takahashi. The duo has quickly gained recognition for their exceptional musicianship and unique interpretations of classical repertoire. Yuka Nakayama was born in Japan and began playing the piano at the age of four. She went on to study at the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo and later at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Kana Takahashi was also born in Japan and began playing the cello at the age of six. She studied at the Toho Gakuen School of Music and later at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln in Germany. The two musicians met while studying at the Toho Gakuen School of Music and quickly became friends. They began playing together as a duo and soon realized that they had a special musical connection. They decided to form Duo Links in order to share their love of classical music with audiences around the world. Duo Links has performed at some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Suntory Hall in Tokyo. They have also performed at numerous music festivals, including the Salzburg Festival, the Edinburgh International Festival, and the Tanglewood Music Festival. One of the highlights of Duo Links' career was their performance at the 2018 BBC Proms. They were invited to perform as part of the "New Generation Artists" series, which showcases the most promising young musicians from around the world.
