Born on May 5, 1985, in Sofia, Bulgaria, Hristova showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. She was enrolled in the National School of Music "Lyubomir Pipkov" in Sofia, where she studied under the guidance of Professor Stella Dimitrova. Hristova's talent was evident from an early age, and she quickly gained recognition for her exceptional musical abilities. In 1997, she won first prize at the National Piano Competition "Svetoslav Obretenov" in Provadia, Bulgaria. This was the first of many awards and accolades that Hristova would receive throughout her career. In 2003, Hristova was accepted into the National Academy of Music "Pancho Vladigerov" in Sofia, where she continued her studies under the tutelage of Professor Milena Mollova. During her time at the academy, Hristova participated in numerous competitions and festivals, both in Bulgaria and abroad. In 2005, she won first prize at the International Piano Competition "Young Virtuosos" in Sofia, and in 2006, she was awarded the Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition "Citta di Barletta" in Italy. After completing her studies at the National Academy of Music, Hristova continued her education at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg, Germany, where she studied under the guidance of Professor Ralf Nattkemper. During her time in Hamburg, Hristova participated in masterclasses with renowned pianists such as András Schiff, Menahem Pressler, and Paul Badura-Skoda. Hristova's career as a professional musician began to take off in the early 2010s. In 2011, she won first prize at the International Piano Competition "Città di Marsala" in Italy, and in 2012, she was awarded the Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition "Città di Barletta" for the second time. These victories helped to establish Hristova as a rising star in the world of classical music. In addition to her success in competitions, Hristova has also performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician. She has given recitals in Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, and the United States, and has performed with orchestras such as the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, the Plovdiv Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra. One of the highlights of Hristova's career came in 2014, when she performed at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York City. She was invited to perform as part of the "Bulgarian Virtuosos" concert, which featured some of Bulgaria's most talented classical musicians. Hristova's performance was well-received by the audience and critics alike, and helped to further cement her reputation as a world-class pianist. In addition to her work as a performer, Hristova is also a dedicated teacher.
