One of Gonzalez's most significant works is his opera, "El Diablo en el Poder" (The Devil in Power), which premiered in 1989. Gonzalez's other notable works include his "Concerto for Violin and Orchestra," which was premiered in 1982, and his "Symphony No. 1," which was premiered in 1985.
