Natalia Rehling is a classical music artist who has made a name for herself in the world of music. Born on May 12, 1985, in Moscow, Russia, Natalia showed an early interest in music. Her parents, both musicians, recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue her passion. Natalia began her musical education at the age of five, studying piano with her mother. She quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument and began performing in public at the age of seven. By the time she was ten, Natalia had won several local competitions and had begun to attract the attention of music teachers and professionals. At the age of twelve, Natalia was accepted into the prestigious Moscow Conservatory, where she studied piano under the tutelage of renowned pianist and teacher, Vladimir Tropp. Under Tropp's guidance, Natalia developed her skills as a pianist and began to explore the world of classical music. Throughout her time at the Moscow Conservatory, Natalia continued to win awards and accolades for her performances. In 2001, she won first prize in the International Piano Competition in Paris, France, and in 2003, she won the Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition in Tokyo, Japan. After graduating from the Moscow Conservatory in 2004, Natalia moved to the United States to continue her studies. She enrolled in the Juilliard School in New York City, where she studied with the renowned pianist and teacher, Emanuel Ax. While at Juilliard, Natalia continued to win awards and recognition for her performances. In 2006, she won the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, becoming the first Russian pianist to win the competition since 1989. Her performance of Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3 in the final round of the competition was hailed as a triumph of technical skill and emotional depth. Since winning the Van Cliburn Competition, Natalia has continued to perform around the world, captivating audiences with her virtuosic playing and passionate interpretations of classical music. She has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Berlin Philharmonic. In addition to her performances, Natalia is also a dedicated teacher and mentor to young musicians. She has taught master classes at music schools and conservatories around the world, and has served as a judge for several international piano competitions. Throughout her career, Natalia has received numerous awards and honors for her contributions to the world of classical music. In 2010, she was awarded the Order of Friendship by the Russian government for her achievements in music. In 2015, she was named a Steinway Artist, joining a select group of pianists who are recognized for their excellence in performance and dedication to the art of piano playing.
