The Soloists of the Europa Symphony is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 1990 by a group of talented musicians who shared a passion for chamber music. The ensemble is based in Europe and is made up of some of the most accomplished musicians from across the continent. The founding members of the ensemble were violinist David Johnson, cellist Maria Rodriguez, and pianist Anna Petrova. They were soon joined by other talented musicians, including violist Peter Schmidt and clarinetist Michael Brown. Together, they formed a tight-knit group that was dedicated to exploring the rich and diverse repertoire of chamber music. Over the years, the Soloists of the Europa Symphony have become known for their exceptional musicianship and their ability to bring a fresh and dynamic approach to classical music. They have performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls and festivals around the world, including the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and the Salzburg Festival. One of the highlights of the ensemble's career was their performance at the 1994 Edinburgh International Festival, where they received critical acclaim for their interpretation of Beethoven's String Quartet No. 14. The ensemble has also been recognized for their recordings, including their 1998 album of Brahms' Piano Quartets, which was nominated for a Grammy Award. The Soloists of the Europa Symphony have also been committed to promoting classical music to new audiences and have collaborated with a number of contemporary artists and composers. In 2002, they worked with the British composer Michael Nyman on a new piece for string quartet and piano, which was premiered at the Barbican Centre in London. The ensemble has undergone some changes over the years, with new members joining and others leaving. However, the core values of the group have remained the same - a commitment to excellence in performance, a passion for exploring the rich and diverse repertoire of chamber music, and a dedication to promoting classical music to new audiences. Today, the Soloists of the Europa Symphony continue to be one of the most respected and admired classical music ensembles in the world. They have inspired countless musicians and audiences with their exceptional musicianship and their unwavering commitment to the art of chamber music.
