Jackie Moran was born on May 15, 1985, in New York City. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Moran showed a natural talent for music and began taking piano lessons at the age of four. As Moran grew older, she became more interested in classical music and began studying the violin. She quickly excelled in her studies and began performing in local concerts and competitions. At the age of 12, Moran was accepted into the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City, where she continued her studies in violin performance. During her time at Juilliard, Moran had the opportunity to study with some of the most renowned violinists in the world, including Itzhak Perlman and Pinchas Zukerman. She also had the opportunity to perform in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. After graduating from Juilliard, Moran began her professional career as a soloist and chamber musician. She quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented young violinists in the world and began receiving invitations to perform with some of the most prestigious orchestras in the world. One of Moran's most memorable performances was her debut with the New York Philharmonic in 2008. She performed the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto to critical acclaim, with The New York Times calling her performance "a revelation." Moran's career continued to flourish, and she began receiving invitations to perform at some of the most prestigious music festivals in the world, including the Salzburg Festival and the BBC Proms. She also began recording albums, with her debut album, "Violin Virtuoso," receiving critical acclaim and earning her a Grammy nomination. In addition to her solo career, Moran is also an accomplished chamber musician. She has performed with some of the most renowned chamber ensembles in the world, including the Emerson String Quartet and the Guarneri Quartet. Throughout her career, Moran has received numerous awards and accolades for her performances. In 2010, she was awarded the Avery Fisher Career Grant, one of the most prestigious awards for young musicians in the United States.
