The group was founded in 2004 by Andrew Earis, who is also the Director of Music at St. Martin-in-the-Fields church in London. The ensemble is made up of professional singers who are passionate about sharing their love of music with audiences around the world. The group's name is derived from the church where they are based, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, which is located in Trafalgar Square in London. The church has a rich history of music, dating back to the 18th century when Handel himself performed there. Today, St. Martin's Voices continues this tradition of excellence, performing a wide range of classical music from the Renaissance to the present day. One of the highlights of St. Martin's Voices' career was their performance at the 2011 Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. The group was chosen to perform at the wedding ceremony, which was watched by millions of people around the world. Their performance of "Ubi Caritas" by Maurice Duruflé was particularly memorable, and showcased the group's incredible vocal talent.
