Dr. Davis, a music educator and conductor, had a vision to create a boys choir that would provide young boys with the opportunity to develop their musical talents and perform at the highest level. He recruited a group of 35 boys from local schools and churches and began rehearsals in the basement of a church. The choir quickly gained popularity and began performing at local events and concerts. Over the years, the Phoenix Boys Choir has grown in size and reputation, attracting talented young singers from all over the world. The choir has performed in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Vatican. They have also toured internationally, performing in countries such as Japan, Australia, and Europe. One of the highlights of the choir's history was their performance at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. The Training Choir is for boys ages 7-10 who are just starting out in their musical journey. The Tour Choir is for boys ages 14-18 who are the most advanced singers and have the opportunity to tour and perform internationally. Finally, the Mastersingers is a group of alumni who continue to sing with the choir after they have graduated.
