Born in 1969 in New York City, Fauth began playing the piano at the age of five. He showed a natural talent for the instrument and quickly became a prodigy, performing in public concerts by the age of eight. Fauth's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where he studied with renowned pianist and teacher Yoheved Kaplinsky. Fauth excelled in his studies and won numerous awards and competitions, including the prestigious Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition in 1991. After completing his studies at Juilliard, Fauth continued his education at the University of Michigan, where he earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree.
