Ramón Paús is a Spanish composer who was born on December 28, 1956, in Madrid, Spain. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a composer and his mother a pianist. One of Paús' most notable works is his opera "El viaje a Simorgh" (The Journey to Simorgh), which premiered in 2010 at the Teatro Real in Madrid. The opera is based on a Persian poem and tells the story of a group of birds who embark on a journey to find the mythical Simorgh. The opera received critical acclaim for its innovative use of multimedia and its blend of Eastern and Western musical styles. Paús' music has been performed by some of the world's leading orchestras and ensembles, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Ensemble Intercontemporain. He has also collaborated with several prominent musicians and artists, including the pianist Joaquín Achúcarro and the painter Antonio López.
