Laurent Campellone is a French conductor who has made a name for himself in the world of classical music. Born on May 26, 1977, in Nice, France, Campellone showed an early interest in music and began studying the piano at the age of six. He later went on to study conducting at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. Campellone's career as a conductor began in 2002 when he was appointed as the assistant conductor of the Orchestre National de France. He quickly gained recognition for his talent and was soon invited to conduct other major orchestras in France and abroad. One of Campellone's most notable performances was in 2006 when he conducted the Orchestre National de France in a concert at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris. The concert featured works by Mozart, Beethoven, and Brahms, and was met with critical acclaim. In 2008, Campellone was appointed as the principal conductor of the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, a position he held until 2016. During his tenure, he led the orchestra in numerous performances and recordings, including a critically acclaimed recording of Mozart's Requiem. In addition to his work with orchestras, Campellone has also conducted numerous operas. He made his debut at the Opéra National de Paris in 2010 with a production of Mozart's Don Giovanni, and has since conducted productions at other major opera houses, including the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and the Royal Opera House in London. Campellone has received numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. In 2009, he was awarded the Prix des Muses for his recording of Mozart's Requiem with the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris. He has also been awarded the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French government for his contributions to the arts. Despite his success, Campellone remains humble and dedicated to his craft. He continues to conduct orchestras and operas around the world, and is known for his passionate and dynamic performances.
