The group was founded in 1999 by Dr. Desmond Earley, who is also the current artistic director and conductor of the ensemble. The Choral Scholars of University College Dublin is made up of 18-24 members, all of whom are students of the university. The group performed for Pope Francis and a crowd of over 80,000 people at Croke Park Stadium.
