Green's musical career began in the early 1960s when he joined a band called Peter B's Looners. He then went on to play with several other bands, including John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers and Fleetwood Mac. Green's time with Fleetwood Mac was particularly significant, as he was a founding member of the band and played a key role in shaping their sound. Green's musical style was heavily influenced by blues music, and he was known for his soulful guitar playing and emotive vocals. He was also a talented songwriter and wrote many of Fleetwood Mac's most popular songs, including "Black Magic Woman," "Oh Well," and "Albatross."
