Cornelis Thymanszoon Padbrué was a Dutch composer and musician who lived during the Baroque period. He was born in Rotterdam in 1592, and little is known about his early life and education. However, it is believed that he received his musical training in the Netherlands, possibly in Amsterdam or Utrecht. Padbrué began his career as a musician in the early 17th century, and he quickly gained a reputation as a skilled composer and performer. He was appointed as the organist of the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam in 1617, and he held this position for over 40 years. During this time, he also served as the organist of the Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam and the St. Laurenskerk in Rotterdam.
