In 2007, Puntin was awarded the Swiss Music Prize, which recognizes outstanding contributions to the Swiss music scene. The award was a testament to Puntin's talent and dedication to his craft. In recent years, Puntin has continued to push the boundaries of classical music, experimenting with new sounds and styles. He has collaborated with musicians from around the world, including the Indian tabla player Sandeep Das and the Japanese koto player Mieko Miyazaki. Puntin's most recent album, "Karlheinz Stockhausen: Tierkreis," was released in 2018 and features his interpretation of the famous work by the German composer. The album showcases Puntin's ability to blend classical and contemporary music, creating a unique and captivating sound.
