Artist Info
Sara Blanch is a Spanish soprano who has made a name for herself in the world of classical music. Born in Valencia, Spain in 1990, Blanch grew up in a family of musicians. Her mother was a pianist and her father was a conductor, so it was no surprise that she showed an interest in music from a young age. Blanch began her musical education at the age of six, studying piano and music theory. However, it wasn't until she was 14 years old that she discovered her true passion for singing. She began taking voice lessons and quickly realized that she had a natural talent for singing. Blanch went on to study at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Joaquín Rodrigo in Valencia, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Music. She then went on to study at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln in Germany, where she received her Master's degree in Opera. Throughout her education, Blanch received numerous awards and accolades for her singing. In 2012, she won first prize in the Concurso Internacional de Canto Ciudad de Logroño, and in 2013, she won first prize in the Concurso Internacional de Canto de Toulouse. These awards helped to launch her career as a professional opera singer. Blanch made her professional debut in 2014, singing the role of Susanna in Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro at the Teatro Principal de Palma in Mallorca. This performance was well-received by audiences and critics alike, and it helped to establish Blanch as a rising star in the world of opera. Since then, Blanch has performed in some of the world's most prestigious opera houses and concert halls. She has sung at the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, the Opéra de Toulon in France, and the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, among others. One of Blanch's most notable performances was her portrayal of Gilda in Verdi's Rigoletto at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville in 2017. Her performance was praised for its emotional depth and technical skill, and it helped to solidify her reputation as one of the most promising young sopranos in the world. Blanch has also received numerous awards and honors for her singing. In 2016, she was awarded the Premio Ópera Actual for Best Newcomer, and in 2018, she was named a finalist in the International Opera Awards. These awards are a testament to Blanch's talent and dedication to her craft. In addition to her work as an opera singer, Blanch is also a passionate advocate for music education. She has worked with numerous organizations to promote music education and to inspire young people to pursue careers in music. Blanch's talent, dedication, and passion for music have made her one of the most exciting young sopranos in the world today. Her performances are marked by their emotional depth, technical skill, and sheer beauty, and she is sure to continue to captivate audiences for years to come.More....
