The Philharmonia Baroque Choir is a renowned classical music ensemble that has been captivating audiences with its exceptional performances for over 30 years. The choir was founded in 1985 by Nicholas McGegan, a British conductor and harpsichordist, who had a vision of creating a world-class ensemble that would specialize in the performance of Baroque music. The choir's early years were marked by a series of successful performances that quickly established its reputation as one of the finest Baroque choirs in the world. The choir's first major performance was in 1986, when it performed Handel's Messiah at the San Francisco War Memorial Opera House. The performance was a resounding success, and it set the stage for the choir's future success. Over the years, the Philharmonia Baroque Choir has performed at some of the world's most prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, and the Sydney Opera House. The choir has also collaborated with some of the world's most renowned conductors and soloists, including Sir Simon Rattle, Yo-Yo Ma, and Renée Fleming.
