Roopa Mahadevan is a renowned classical music artist who has made a name for herself in the world of Carnatic music. Born in Chennai, India, Roopa was exposed to music from a very young age. Her father, T. V. Mahadevan, was a well-known composer and music director in the Tamil film industry, and her mother, Suguna Varadachari, was a Carnatic vocalist. Growing up in a musical family, Roopa was surrounded by music and began learning Carnatic music at the age of five. Roopa's early training was under the guidance of her mother, who was a disciple of the legendary musician, Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer.
