Emily Fons is a mezzo-soprano opera singer who has made a name for herself in the classical music world. Born on May 23, 1984, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Fons grew up in a musical family. Her mother was a music teacher, and her father was a jazz musician. Fons started singing at a young age and was encouraged by her parents to pursue a career in music. Fons attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance. She then went on to study at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she earned a Master of Music degree in vocal performance.
