Maria Candela Scalabrini was born on May 12, 1985, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was born into a family of musicians, and her parents were both professional classical musicians. Her father was a pianist, and her mother was a violinist. From a young age, Maria was exposed to classical music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Maria's parents recognized her talent and enrolled her in the National Conservatory of Music in Buenos Aires when she was six years old. She studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Maria Teresa Larrain, who recognized her potential and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Maria's talent and dedication to music were evident from a young age, and she quickly became a rising star in the classical music world. She won her first piano competition at the age of eight and went on to win numerous other competitions throughout her childhood and teenage years. In 2003, Maria was awarded a scholarship to study at the Juilliard School in New York City. She moved to the United States and began studying under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Yoheved Kaplinsky. Maria's time at Juilliard was a turning point in her career, and she quickly established herself as one of the most promising young pianists of her generation. Maria's talent and hard work paid off, and she began to receive invitations to perform at major concert halls around the world. In 2006, she made her debut at Carnegie Hall in New York City, performing a solo recital to critical acclaim.
