Gro Bente Kjellevold is a renowned classical music artist from Norway. She was born on May 12, 1975, in the city of Bergen, Norway. From a young age, Kjellevold showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Kjellevold attended the Bergen Music Conservatory, where she studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and composer, Einar Steen-Nøkleberg. She graduated with honors in 1997 and went on to pursue a Master's degree in Music Performance at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. In 1995, she won first prize at the Norwegian National Piano Competition, and in 1997, she won the prestigious Grieg Prize for her outstanding performance of Edvard Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor.
