Role:ComposerAngus Young is a Scottish-born Australian guitarist and songwriter, best known as the co-founder and lead guitarist of the legendary rock band AC/DC. Born on March 31, 1955, in Glasgow, Scotland, Angus was the youngest of eight children in a musical family. His father was a well-known musician in Glasgow, and his older brother Malcolm Young was also a guitarist and co-founder of AC/DC. In 1963, Angus and his family moved to Sydney, Australia, where he attended Ashfield Boys High School. It was during this time that Angus began to develop his love for music and started playing guitar. He was heavily influenced by blues and rock and roll music, and his guitar heroes included Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix, and Eric Clapton. In 1973, Angus and his brother Malcolm formed AC/DC, along with vocalist Bon Scott, bassist Cliff Williams, and drummer Phil Rudd. The band quickly gained a reputation for their high-energy live performances and hard-hitting rock and roll sound. Angus became known for his signature stage antics, which included his schoolboy outfit and his wild guitar solos. AC/DC released their debut album, "High Voltage," in 1975, which was followed by a string of successful albums, including "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap," "Highway to Hell," and "Back in Black." The latter album, released in 1980, became one of the best-selling albums of all time, and cemented AC/DC's status as one of the greatest rock bands in history. Throughout his career, Angus has been recognized for his contributions to music. In 2003, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of AC/DC. He has also been named one of the greatest guitarists of all time by numerous publications, including Rolling Stone and Guitar World. Despite the success of AC/DC, Angus has remained humble and dedicated to his craft. He continues to tour and record with the band, and his guitar playing remains as electrifying as ever. His influence on rock and roll music is undeniable, and his legacy as a guitar hero will continue to inspire generations of musicians to come.More....
