Born on May 12, 1985, in Helsinki, Finland, Angervo showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. He was a prodigious talent and quickly gained recognition for his exceptional musical abilities. Angervo's parents were both musicians, and they encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. He began taking piano lessons with renowned Finnish pianist and teacher, Liisa Pohjola, who recognized his talent and potential. During his time at the Sibelius Academy, Angervo won several awards and competitions, including the first prize in the Finnish National Piano Competition in 2004 and the second prize in the International Franz Liszt Piano Competition in Weimar, Germany, in 2005. These achievements helped to establish him as one of the most promising young pianists of his generation. After completing his studies at the Sibelius Academy, Angervo continued to perform and conduct around the world. He has appeared as a soloist with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. He has also conducted many orchestras, including the Tapiola Sinfonietta, the Lahti Symphony Orchestra, and the Finnish National Opera Orchestra. One of Angervo's most notable performances was his debut with the London Symphony Orchestra in 2010. He performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 under the baton of conductor Daniel Harding, and the performance was met with critical acclaim. The Guardian praised Angervo's "impeccable technique and musicality," while The Times described him as "a pianist of rare talent and sensitivity." Angervo has also made several recordings, including a critically acclaimed album of Beethoven's piano sonatas.
