NeoQuartet is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2008 in Warsaw, Poland. The group consists of four members: violinists Bartosz Zachłod and Paweł Kapica, violist Michał Markiewicz, and cellist Krzysztof Pawłowski. The quartet is known for its innovative approach to classical music, incorporating elements of jazz, rock, and electronic music into their performances. The founding members of NeoQuartet met while studying at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. They quickly discovered a shared passion for exploring new sounds and techniques in classical music, and decided to form a quartet together. The group's name, NeoQuartet, reflects their commitment to pushing the boundaries of traditional classical music. Since its founding, NeoQuartet has become one of the most acclaimed classical music ensembles in Poland. The quartet has won numerous awards and accolades for their performances, including the Grand Prix at the 2010 International Chamber Music Competition in Krakow and the 2011 Paszport Polityki award for classical music. One of the highlights of NeoQuartet's career was their performance at the 2012 Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music. The quartet performed a program of contemporary classical music, including works by Polish composers Paweł Mykietyn and Wojciech Blecharz. The performance was widely praised for its innovative approach to classical music and its ability to connect with a younger audience. In addition to their performances in Poland, NeoQuartet has also toured extensively throughout Europe and Asia.
