Emese Mali is a Hungarian classical pianist who has gained international recognition for her exceptional talent and musicality. Born on December 28, 1985, in Budapest, Hungary, Mali showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. Her parents, who were both musicians, recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Mali's early musical education was at the Béla Bartók Conservatory in Budapest, where she studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Katalin Nemes. She later continued her studies at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, where she received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in piano performance. During her time at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Mali had the opportunity to study with some of the most distinguished pianists of our time, including Zoltán Kocsis, András Schiff, and Ferenc Rados. In 2006, she won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Rome, Italy, and in 2008, she was awarded the Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition in Budapest. Since then, Mali has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls around the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Konzerthaus in Vienna. She has also collaborated with many renowned orchestras, including the Budapest Festival Orchestra, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. One of Mali's most notable performances was her debut at the Salzburg Festival in 2010, where she performed Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23 in A major with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
