Dr. David Evans is a renowned classical music artist who has made significant contributions to the world of music. Born on August 26, 1944, in Richmond, Virginia, Evans grew up in a family that valued music. His father was a jazz pianist, and his mother was a singer. Evans started playing the piano at the age of five and showed a natural talent for music. Evans attended the University of Virginia, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music. He then went on to study at the Juilliard School in New York City, where he earned a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance. After completing his studies, Evans began his career as a concert pianist, performing in various venues across the United States. One of the highlights of Evans' career was his performance at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. in 1971. He played a solo recital that received critical acclaim and established him as a rising star in the classical music world. Evans continued to perform in major venues across the United States, including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York City. In addition to his career as a concert pianist, Evans was also a respected music educator. He taught at the University of Virginia and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a professor of music for over 30 years.
