I Musicanti is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2010 by the British pianist and conductor, Leon Bosch. The ensemble is made up of some of the most talented and accomplished musicians in the UK, and has quickly established itself as one of the leading chamber music groups in the country. The founding of I Musicanti was the result of Bosch's desire to create a chamber music ensemble that would bring together musicians who shared his passion for classical music and his commitment to excellence. Bosch, who had previously been a member of the renowned Amadeus Quartet, wanted to create a group that would be dedicated to exploring the rich and diverse repertoire of chamber music, and to performing it with the highest level of artistry and skill. To achieve this goal, Bosch assembled a group of musicians who were not only highly skilled and experienced, but who also shared his vision for the ensemble. The founding members of I Musicanti included violinists David Juritz and Harriet Mackenzie, violist Sarah-Jane Bradley, cellist Richard Harwood, and clarinetist Matthew Hunt. Together, these musicians formed the core of the ensemble, and have remained an integral part of its success over the years. Since its founding, I Musicanti has performed extensively throughout the UK and Europe, and has earned a reputation for its dynamic and engaging performances. The ensemble has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including the Wigmore Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, and the Berlin Philharmonic. They have also been featured on numerous radio and television programs, and have recorded several critically acclaimed albums. One of the highlights of I Musicanti's career was their performance at the 2012 BBC Proms, where they performed a program of works by Mozart, Brahms, and Schumann. The performance was widely praised for its energy, precision, and musicality, and helped to establish the ensemble as one of the leading chamber music groups in the UK. In addition to their performances, I Musicanti has also been recognized for their contributions to the world of classical music. The ensemble has been nominated for several awards, including the Royal Philharmonic Society Music Awards and the Gramophone Awards. They have also been featured in numerous publications, including The Guardian, The Times, and BBC Music Magazine. Despite their success, I Musicanti remains committed to their original vision of exploring the rich and diverse repertoire of chamber music, and to performing it with the highest level of artistry and skill. The ensemble continues to perform regularly, and has expanded its repertoire to include works by contemporary composers as well as classical masters.
