Emily Yap Chua is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the world of music. Born on December 12, 1975, in Manila, Philippines, Emily grew up in a family that was passionate about music. Her father was a pianist, and her mother was a singer, which inspired her to pursue a career in music. Emily started playing the piano at the age of four, and by the time she was six, she had already won her first piano competition. She continued to hone her skills and went on to study at the University of the Philippines College of Music, where she earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance. After completing her studies, Emily moved to the United States to further her education. She enrolled at the University of Michigan School of Music, where she earned her Master of Music degree in Piano Performance. She also pursued a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music. Throughout her career, Emily has performed in numerous concerts and recitals, both in the Philippines and abroad. She has also collaborated with various orchestras, including the Manila Symphony Orchestra, the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, and the USC Symphony Orchestra.
