Artist Info
Alinde Quartett is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2014 in Berlin, Germany. The quartet consists of four members: Johanna Staemmler (violin), Annegret Kuttner (violin), Andreas Moscho (viola), and Lukas Sieber (cello). The quartet's name, Alinde, is derived from a poem by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, which tells the story of a young woman named Alinde who is transformed into a bird and flies away. The quartet chose this name to represent their desire to explore the transformative power of music. Johanna Staemmler and Annegret Kuttner first met while studying at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. They later met Andreas Moscho and Lukas Sieber while studying at the University of the Arts in Berlin. The four musicians quickly discovered a shared passion for chamber music and decided to form a quartet. Since its founding, Alinde Quartett has performed extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and North America. The quartet has been praised for its technical precision, musical sensitivity, and innovative programming. One of the quartet's most notable performances was at the 2016 International Chamber Music Competition in Osaka, Japan, where they were awarded first prize. The quartet's performance was praised for its "impeccable ensemble playing, beautiful tone, and deep musical understanding." In addition to their competition success, Alinde Quartett has also been invited to perform at some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Konzerthaus Berlin, and the Wigmore Hall in London. The quartet's repertoire is diverse, ranging from classical works by Mozart and Beethoven to contemporary pieces by living composers. They are particularly known for their interpretations of the music of Franz Schubert, whose works they have recorded and performed extensively. In 2018, Alinde Quartett released their debut album, "Schubert: String Quartets Nos. 13 & 14." The album was praised for its "exquisite playing" and "deep emotional resonance." In addition to their performing and recording activities, Alinde Quartett is also committed to music education. The quartet regularly gives masterclasses and workshops for young musicians, and has served as ensemble-in-residence at several music festivals. Overall, Alinde Quartett is a dynamic and innovative ensemble that has quickly established itself as one of the leading chamber music groups of its generation. With their technical prowess, musical sensitivity, and commitment to exploring the transformative power of music, the quartet is sure to continue making waves in the classical music world for years to come.More....
